We're looking for people who want to help build Sprachmut. Whether you're there at events or working behind the scenes, every helping hand makes a real difference.
Two ways to get involved
Language coach at events
You join one of our weekly events, play along, keep conversations going, and make sure everyone gets
a chance to talk, including the quieter folks. No teaching qualification needed. What matters is
enjoying contact with people, empathy, and solid German.
Behind the scenes
Community management, outreach, and marketing. Welcoming new members, announcing events, sharing
photos, creating social media content, or building relationships with other organizations and
universities. A lot of this can be done flexibly from home.
Internships at Sprachmut
Sprachmut is also a great fit for an internship, especially if you're studying German as a Foreign Language (DaF) or German as a Second Language (DaZ) and want real hands-on experience with a living language-learning community in Freiburg. It's also valuable for programs like social work, intercultural studies, communication sciences, or education: independent group facilitation, insight into building a community from the ground up, and the chance to actually help shape your own ideas.
How to get started
Nice and simple: just drop by an event and get a feel for the dynamic. Or write to me directly, and we'll figure out together what fits you best.
